Sheriff of Nottingham (2nd Edition) is a bluffing, bribing, and negotiation party game where players take turns smuggling goods past the Sheriff—or catching others in the act. It’s the updated, streamlined version of the original hit game, with expansions built in. 🎲 What the Game Is About Players alternate between being the Sheriff and Merchants. Merchants load their bags with goods—some legal, some contraband. They declare what’s in the bag… which may or may not be true. The Sheriff chooses to inspect or let it pass—and can be bribed either way. If the Sheriff inspects and the Merchant was honest, the Sheriff pays a penalty. If the Merchant lied, they pay the penalty and lose the contraband.
